Fall 2012

Hello beautiful sisters!

I am excited to report that this has been another great semester for Gamma Omicron!

Homecoming Alumnae Social!

First and foremost, Gamma Omicron was proud to welcome home over 60 of you for our Alumnae Social on September 29! We really enjoyed spending the afternoon reminiscing over scrapbooks, snacks and songs!

At the social, we were also able to celebrate the engagement of one of our sisters Danielle D'Alessandro to Gregory Seymour! Thank you for helping to make her engagement circle so special!

New Sisters!

On November 2, we held initiation for two incredible new sisters! We are thrilled to have once again reached our total of 50. A special thank you to alumnae, Jean Luebke, for attending the ceremony! Welcome home Sydney Costa and Melanie Demakis-you are the perfect additions to our chapter!

Fall Formal!

To continue celebrating our new sisters, we had our fall formal on November 3 at the Elks Lodge in Danville! A huge thank you to sister Sarah Kleinman for planning such a fun night!

Beauty & the Greek!

On November 7, we hosted our second annual Beauty & the Greek Philanthropy event! Representatives from each fraternity and sorority on campus paired to compete in five different categories in order to bring home the trophy! A huge thank you to sister Alex Zappier who led the planning committee for this event. We were so appreciative of the incredible turn out that aided us in raising over $800 for Ronald McDonald House Charities!

Sisters Christine DiFucci and Elizabeth Beecroft hosted the evening :)

 Up Till Dawn!

Last night, November 30, we had a number of sisters participate in Susquehanna's first annual Up Till Dawn event! Up Till Dawn raises funds and awareness for the efforts of St. Jude Children's Hospital. We were proud to have sisters Danielle Ditty and Jazmine Salach serve on the planning committee for this fantastic event..great job ladies!

Another Year Comes to an End

Hello! I hope everyone is enjoying summer and getting lots of sunshine! :) What better way to kick off the weekend then to read about your sisters?!

Greek Week 2012!

This year's Greek Week was held April 14-21! Our sisters helped kick off the week by participating in SU Serve! We were proud to work alongside other Susquehanna students and give back to our community. Click the link below for a video recap of the day!

The week continued with different games and events including dodgeball, a relay race, and a cardboard boat regatta! Of course, our favorite event is always the dance competition, Airband! This year we took the stage as "ADPi Allstars" and performed to a mix of sports tunes! Thank you to sisters Dana Alexander and Riti Herring for choreographing such a great routine! Click the link below to see what won us second place! :)

We ended the week strong by participating in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. We were proud to raise funds and awareness for this great cause prior to the event by asking friends and family for donations. Our efforts continued at the event where we hosted casino games for everyone to play! It was great to take the time to remember those we've lost to this horrible disease while simultaneously celebrating survivors!

Jewel Degree & Senior Dinner

Following Greek Week, our seniors became Pi's at Jewel Degree ritual on April 22. A HUGE thank you to alumnae Thiry Reamer Olbrich ('57), Pam Weiss ('81), and Stephanie Carnivale ('11) for attending and participating in this sacred ceremony- you really helped to make it special! Following Jewel Degree, the chapter met at BJ's for a celebratory dinner! Thank you to sister Sarah Kleinman for planning the meal!

Welcome home abroad sisters!

This semester, we had three sisters study abroad in the location of their choice! We are so happy to have them home safe and sound and look forward to hearing all about their experiences!

Kristin Ocenas- London

Christine DiFucci- Washington, DC

 Arielle Glembocki- Australia

Graduation!

This year's commencement ceremony was held on May 13, 2012.

To all of our seniors- Gamma Omicron could not be more proud of you! Each of you has brought such an incredible energy and passion to our chapter. We appreciate all of the countless hours you have dedicated to making positive changes within Gamma Omicron and we are eager to follow in your legacy. Thank you for sharing with us your skills, leadership, and love while exemplifying what it means to be sisters of Alpha Delta Pi. We wish you the best of luck in your promising futures that lie ahead. Congratulations on becoming Pi's and know that you always have a home with Gamma Omicron. <>

Busy, Busy, Busy Pi's! :)

Hello from sunny Selinsgrove! I hope Spring is treating everyone well :) Gamma Omicron has been very busy lately and we have TONS of great news to share!

DLC 2012

This year's Alpha Delta Pi District Leadership Conference was held in Ellicott City, Maryland from February 24-26! Gamma Omicron was pleased to send 14 officers to represent the chapter. We had a great time meeting sisters from surrounding universities and learning about ways to improve performance in our positions! Even more exciting however was the amount of AWARDS we brought home! We could not be more proud to showcase the chapter's dedication and are excited to keep the mentality strong and work towards winning the Golden Lion!

Look at them all! :)
